Rainbow Riders School Holiday Program

Rainbow Riders is a program which assists young people from the Geelong region who are living with disadvantage and aims to develop and enhance their life skills so they can reach their full potential. Horses and the whole farm environment are used as the tools for personal growth, learning the impact of behaviours on others and for developing problem solving skills and positive, nurturing behaviours. The benefits provided by Rainbow Riders programs includes improvements in self-esteem and confidence, social skills, family and peer relationships and motivation along with improved ability to focus, communicate positively, make healthy choices in life and an increased sense of happiness and wellbeing.

Rainbow Riders have recently introduced a very popular whole farm experience school holiday program, which will operate between 3 – 28 Jan (Closed Sundays and Mondays), 9.30am-12midday and 1.00pm-3.30pm . Activities include grooming, brushing and learning to handle the beautiful horses, hay ride and feeding the farm animals, collecting eggs from the hen house and enjoying a cart ride with Baxter the Clydesdale horse. Rainbow Riders also has a multimedia learning centre where activities are photographed and journals created showing the learning, development and progress of all young people attending the program.
Cost per session is $50 or $85 per day.
