As the weather supposedly begins cooling and we start to hibernate towards the winter months there is still loads on offer in Geelong and this great region. Do you have lying around a few old bits and pieces or what appear to be perhaps antiques but you don’t really have any use for them well head to Barwon Park between 11-4pm on Saturday and get your trash or perhaps treasures valued…you never know your luck on their worth.
Everybody must experience The Blues Train at the very least, once in their lives. I have had a ball on it more than once and we even found the band for our wedding on it!! So check out www.thebluestrain.com.au for available tickets and some fantastic deals on nights throughout May. It is a must do for a fantastic night out…
Now we can’t forget the kid’s can we, or the kid in us? Imaginarium Project is a themed family play centre in South Geelong and it is quite frankly: amazing. There are various rooms based on themes such as Alice In Wonderland, Pirate Room, Country and Western and the soon to be unveiled Wonka Room. It has been so creatively put together and it won’t be only the kids in awe. They also do fantastic kids parties and there is great coffee and food on offer.
You know what I love doing with the family when the weather cools and that is heading to the cinema. We recently went to Readings Cinema and saw The Lorax in 3D which I might add was great and had a super underlining message about looking after the environment. We then headed into Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre for a quick lunch bite of where there are endless choices and had a great wander to boot, with a few purchases along the way.
Otherwise why not take a wander along Pakington Street or the Waterfront could be another great way to spend the day. Top this off with a great meal at our endless selection of sensational restaurants and pubs then how about heading off to The Gateway Hotel for an 80’s night??? Hands up for doing that. I hope you have a great weekend…..
