93.9 BayFM Geelong
This weekend is certainly looking to be a slightly cooler one weather wise to what we were having that seemed not so long ago.
Why not take a nice drive through our wonderful countryside and head to Halls Gap for the weekend as the 21st Grampains Grape Escape will be the flavour of the region in more ways than one. Foodies will be treated to over 100 of Western Victoria’s finest producers of wine, beer, lavender products, ice-cream, lots of free food samples as well as some wonderful local fresh produce. Celebrity Chefs Adrian Richarson and Lee Christmas will be there during the weekend and there will be live entertainment, competitions and plenty of children’s cooking activities. All set within the theme of course, being gustation at its finest!!
Otherwise there are plenty of wonderful market options to entice….Saturday brings Torquay Central Farmers Market and on Sunday head to The Waterfront for Steampacket Gardens Community Market or the indoor Rotary of Ocean Grove Market.
Otherwise why not head to Vitality Café in Roslyn Rd, Highton for some wonderful breakfast options and stay on for an in-house beading class at 10.30am. Why not discover your artistic beading talent?
I then say rug up as my Dad, Husband and son are doing and head to Simonds Stadium for Geelong VS Melbourne, my poor Dad is a Melbourne supporter…a big of a frightening thought to go public with that at Simonds Stadium!!
Saturday night brings an absolute oldie but a goodie….Rocky Horror Picture Show is being performed live at The Sphinx Hotel….Oh that takes me back, that’s for sure.
Well apart from that we are doing work on our house to perhaps go on the market, so I’ll be tuning in between 9-10am on Saturday to hear all that is real estate on Bay FM.
