home breathalyser The TAC and police are due to meet today over concerns about a program for breath test kits to be made available on the Surf Coast.

The local council's received TAC funding for the plan, which will allow locals who are holding private functions to borrow the machines to breath test drivers.

But senior police are less than happy, fearing the machines will result in drinking games and competitions to see who can blow the highest reading.

Assistant Commissioner ROBERT HILL says he'll be raising police concerns with the TAC during a meeting today:
